A Roller Bearing Company With Agility

Though Scheerer Bearing’s manufacturing operations are based in the United States, we regularly supply customers across the globe. We can meet your requirements, regardless of where you need your bearing products delivered. In addition to manufacturing standard size bearings, original equipment manufacturers often request customized solutions. When your equipment is down due to a failure, you need a bearing manufacturing partner that gets you back up and running quickly. We can make replacement rolling element bearings of almost any type or variety.

Cylindrical
Roller Bearings

Cylindrical roller bearings are one of the most widely used types of bearings today. Most are designed to carry heavy radial loads. The smaller, more common single row cylindrical roller bearings are often manufactured in large volumes and most of our distributors carry a healthy inventory. In addition, we also specialize in more complex bearings with bore diameters from 2 inches up to 80 inches (50 mm to over 2,000 mm).

Some of the information we require for custom radial cylindrical roller bearings:

  • Imperial or Metric
  • Any special designs and variants (NU, NCF, RAD, etc.)
  • Bore Dimensions (d)
  • Outer Diameter (D)
  • Width of the Bearing (B)
  • Required Load Capacity (C & Co)

When you have application questions, our bearing engineers can help select the right materials and specifications. Or, you can send us an existing bearing for reverse engineering. If you have all of the bearing specifications, use our online bearing catalog here. 85% of our cages are machined brass finger cages manufactured to very tight tolerances to allow for smooth rolling under normal conditions. Based on application, you can request mild steel (SM), aluminum or resin.

Cylindrical Roller
Thrust Bearings

Cylindrical roller thrust bearings are designed to handle high thrust loads (axial loads) in one or both directions. Cylindrical roller thrust bearing configurations include single and double acting with rigid and self aligning variants. Banded designs are also available for crane hook applications, and come with (WCT) or without (CT) grease fittings.

Some of the information we require for custom cylindrical roller thrust bearings:

  • Imperial or Metric size
  • Any special designs or variants
  • Exact Bore dimension of each washer B=
  • Exact Outer dimension of each washer O.D.=
  • Exact total height H=
  • The Dynamic Capacity C=
